Welcome to the Label League, the Fantasy League For Music Lovers™. This site started with a simple premise: what if they had fantasy football, but for music? Where instead of drafting players, you drafted artists?
I’m sure this isn’t the first time someone has had the exact same idea. But I also figure if it does exist, it wouldn’t look exactly how I envisioned it, so I’ll just build mine. I hope you enjoy what I’ve put together so far, and even if you don’t thanks in advance for checking it out.
The site as it exists today has a couple of mini games, the best one (to me) being Label Roulette, where you pick five artists and then we tell you whether that’s a major label conglomerate, a vanity label, or somewhere in between. And then of course we have trivia and blind ranking.
The fun part: the fantasy league. The draft is in December. We already have ratings for most of your favorite artists. We’ll open up submissions in a few weeks for artists you want us to rate and include in the draft pool.
